Remedial Massage is an effective treatment option for a broad range of patients and conditions, from those who are recovering from serious sporting injuries or accidents to deskbound office workers with chronic shoulder and neck tension. It is the most direct approach to providing relief from muscular tension associated with lower back pain, shoulder and neck pain, and tension headaches.
Therapists who use deep tissue massage need to be flexible in their approach to treatment and acutely aware of their clients needs. SOS Physiotherapy’s treatment strategy effectively relieves areas of pain and tension while also ensuring that the pressure applied is not overly uncomfortable for the client. Your comfort is a priority. SOS Physiotherapy also ensures that all of our clients know how they can manage their tension throughout the week, and help avoid a recurrence of their problems.
So whether you’re feeling tight around the shoulders and neck from clocking up the hours at work, lower back pain from sitting at a desk all day, on the road to recovery from an injury or just playing too hard, massage is sure to provide some welcome relief.
Health Fund rebates are available for most health funds, and all of our therapists are WorkCover approved.

SOS Physiotherapy Earlwood now offers small mat based clinical pilates classes by qualified and experienced Pilates Instructors.
WHAT IS PILATES?
Pilates is a series of mat based exercises that focus on core (deep stomach muscle) activation. It can improve flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.
The benefits of Pilates can include improved posture and increased flexibility, strength, coordination and balance. It can also help to minimise back pain and discomfort.
To ensure we meet your personal needs our classes are small with a maximum of 6 people or you can book personalised 1 on 1 sessions.
We cater Pilates for everyone, but our classes are mostly suited to people with a history of pain and discomfort who are looking for a way to self manage.
You will perform exercises using your own body weight, or with the aid of various pieced of equipment as advised by your physiotherapist and/or instructor.
We supply mats but you are welcome to bring your own.
Bookings are essential and can be made by calling the Earlwood clinic on 9559 3502.
